Secondary Nurture Teacher

You will be working with small groups of secondary aged pupils to help them progress academically and socailly. All planing for each lesson will be provided.The main aspect of this role is being able to form a strong repor with the pupils in your care.This class has specifically been created to help pupils re-engage with education.
Experience working within KS3,KS4 or post 16 would be a huge benefit to this role but the school is very open to hiring people from a variety of different backgrounds.
This role will run for the rest of the academic year and will need someone who is flexible and adaptable to the schools needs.You will mainly deliver ICT lessons to lower ability learners of which all lessons will be planned for you.This role may evolve depending on the schools needs.You may be needed to help cover other topics such as science or other vocational lessons. All the lessons you will cover will be planned for you.
The ideal person must have experience delivering lessons to either a class or small groups and be able to manage a group of pupils and the size of the groups will be between 5 – 12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching with Heart: You’ll be focusing on functional skills and engaging with a class size ranging from 5 to 12 pupils. You do not have to have teaching qualifications but you do need experience working with groups of pupils delivering lessons and or activities
- The Master of Adaptability: Excellent behavior management skills are your forte. You’ll adapt to the individual learning styles and unique requirements of each child in your care, creating a nurturing and constructive learning environment.
- Reignite the Spark: As a Secondary Nurture Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in helping students reengage with their education. Your positive and proactive teaching style will be the catalyst for their renewed enthusiasm for learning.
- Start date:The school is looking for someone to start as soon as possible but open to waiting a couple of weeks for the right candidate.
- PLANNING.All the work will be provided and you will not need to do any planning for this role.
Fantastic working hours
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:45 to 13:50; Friday, 08:45 to 13:10
